Sick Of It All - Us vs. Them

In 1984, Slash and Stephen Adler were nineteen, and they were desperate to start a career on the Hollywood scene. They staged a joint jam called Road Crew, a band that only had a name. They looked through the ads in The Recycler and Music Connection, carefully studying the lines that indicated music preferences and requirements, especially for bassists and vocalists. To make ends meet, Stephen earned money in several places. Slash lived in his grandmother's house or with his girlfriend Yvonne. He worked in a watch factory and occasionally worked part-time at a newsstand on Fairfax.
