I sat in the corner of a luxurious pavilion, overlooking a futuristic lily pond bathing in purple light. Paul and Linda, along with the musicians, were dressed in white suits of hotel corridors. They wore short, spiky wigs, and on their faces - the feline makeup of Kabuki. It turned out that this is the scenery for Silly Love Songs, one of the film’s leading songs. Everything went wrong. The hydraulics that were supposed to raise and lower the modules did not work. Puffs of smoke spread in the wrong direction, some kind of pipe unscrewed and hit one of the musicians on the head, someone yelled at the director’s secretary and brought her to tears.
