I have nothing against classic hits; these are magnificent, often brilliant compositions, not accidentally so beloved by the public. But why is it necessary to convey only them, and even in fragments? Why from all the works of Vivaldi you can hear only “The Seasons”, and not some other of his five hundred brilliant concerts? New hits would appear immediately if the radio introduced the audience to them. And where are numerous, almost unknown compositions that you should even get to know? Why not make programs that would lead to an understanding of rarely performed music and, without annoying teachings, prepare for its perception?
