But the cantata, presented to the Reading Society a couple of days before the solemn meeting, was recognized as “unsuitable for execution for many reasons” - this was written in the protocol of March 17, 1790. And these reasons were primarily in the scale and complexity of the work, which sharply went beyond the usual "music in case".
