Amorphis - Black Embrace

Axl, Izzy, Chris, and Johnny Kreis recorded five songs in one crazy day long session. Two guitarists put bass tracks on Kreis' impromptu drums. The first song, “Killing Time,” was fast hard rock, similar to the aerosmith version of “Train kept A-Rollin '.” Axl demonstrated his Robert Plant-style vocals, seasoning them hoarsely. A primitive riff of two guitars opened "Mu Way Your Way" written by Axl and Izzy. (She later appeared on Appetite for Destruction, titled Anything Goes.) At the beginning of Rocker, Axl said: “Take the first one ... Yes ... Play the rhythm.” Then he begins to yell like crazy under the chaotic guitar cuts. At the end of the song, Axl laughs like an evil spirit over the body of a dead rocker in a crumpled car.
