Deep Purple - Hey Joe (2003 Remix)

There are several traditions of writing and pronouncing this name. According to the 12th century French novelist Chrétien de Trois (French tradition), it looks like Perceval (Perceval); according to Wolfram von Eschenbach (German tradition) - Parzifal (Partzifal) (though in his poem, based on the novel by Chretien de Troyes, many proper names and geographical names are “tracing-paper” from Old French); according to Celtic sources (Celtic and Old English traditions) - Percyvelle (Perciwell). Initially, Wagner himself adhered to the Eschenbach version, calling his hero Partzifal, but in 1877 he “renamed” it Parsifal. In this book we will mainly use the final Wagnerian vocalization.
