• In order to make the public even more believe in the existence of Mr. Fillington, starting in January, the London Times and Evening Standard newspapers posted about 30 notes telling about him. For example, reports on his travels to Rio de Janeiro, Paris, Geneva, Amsterdam, as well as information on his social events. I must say, all this greatly intrigued the press, and journalist Stephen Clackson from the newspaper Evening Standard, where some of the notes were published, conducted an investigation. The results were outlined in the article “Percy Fillington's Movements,” and the author regretted that Mr. Fillington was elusive. (True, he was reassured at McCartney’s office, saying that Percy was currently traveling around the country, but would soon return to London and would definitely meet with the press.)
