But there is a huge difference between playing in a concert hall and recording on CD, so to speak, for eternity. By the age of twenty, I had learned many famous violin concerts, but at the same time I felt that I had not ripened before them. When I looked in the catalog, I was shocked not only by the huge number of records, but first of all by who they were made. Menukhin, Kheifets, Oistrakh, Bush, Schering Perlman, Zuckerman, Mutter - an almost endless series of great masters. And always with the best orchestras and legendary conductors. I told myself that, unlike the violinists of the past, maybe only once in my life I will be able to record one of the great works, so do not rush to do it too early.
