Queen - The Night Comes Down

MTV was just starting broadcasting, and for the first time, children were able to see what the new Los Angeles glam bands look like. Even weak teams like Ratt could get on television, so all the ambitious club groups from the American hinterland began to dream of a beautiful life. The boldest of them left their native industrial towns and set off in pursuit of fame. One such group was Paris from Harrisburg, PA. The group consisted of Bret Michaels, Bobby Dole, Ricky Rockett and Matt Smith. They loaded their belongings into an old Ford Pinto and a week later found themselves in Hollywood, where their car ordered them to live long. They changed their name to Poison, aiming for a glam image and lively sound. Since vocalist Bret Michael was unusually attractive, they intended to take a place somewhere between the New York Dolls and Duran Duran.
