The end of August 1988. The Guns N 'Roses, unsettled by the incident in Donington, went to New York and then to Boston to give three concerts near the hometown of the lead Aerosmith tour. Guns did not have time to rest after England and were exhausted to the limit. Some resorted to heroin to make it easier to transfer what happened, change of time zones and the ruthless schedule of the last part of the Aerosmith tour. They jokingly wondered who would break first or die. In the photographs of this period, group members look like a flock of emaciated children. Bon Jovi's album “New Jersey” knocked out “Appetite” from first place on the charts. Some concerts Guns N 'Roses in late August and early September, Stephen Tyler found less impressive than usual. A rocker and an addict with experience, Stephen Tyler knew perfectly what was happening now with his stumbling warming group.
