In 1904 he graduated from St. Petersburg. conservatory in the class of L. S. Auer (studied with him since 1899). Later he took composition lessons from A. K. Lyadov. From 1904 he gave concerts (Russia, Germany). In 1913-16 he taught at the muses. studying in Kharkov. From 1922 he lived in Berlin, from 1925 - in the USA. The author of many instr. produ. , the best of them are created on the basis of Heb. musesfolklore. I wrote a methodical. essay “On the performance of chromatic scales on the violin” (in the collection “Scientific Association. ” Proceedings of the Acad.
