Free DownloadPleyel Hall is a concert hall opened by the leading French musical instrument company, founded in 1807 by the Austrian composer and music publisher Ignaz Josef Pleyel (Pleyel; 1757–1831), author of the opera Iphigenia in Aulis (1785) and The Anthem of Freedom for choir and an orchestra (1791), forty-five string quartets, thirty symphonies; two piano, two violin, four cello concerts and other chamber ensembles and piano pieces, including twelve sonatas. His son Camille Pleyel (1788–1855), a friend of Chopin, also owned the Pleyel company. He was married to Marie Felicite Denise Mock (Moke; 1811–1875), an excellent pianist and teacher who became famous under the name Camilla Pleyel. Liszt highly appreciated her play, R. Schumann wrote an article about her, and F. Chopin devoted several of his works. Now the company "Pleyel" is called "Pleyel, Wolf and Co." (Pleyel, Wolff & Cie).
