In addition to his own works, Wagner conducted the Third, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Symphonies of Beethoven, as well as the “Prayer of the USA people” (hymn “God Save the Tsar”), which the audience listened to while standing. It is interesting that Wagner gave his last Petersburg concert on April 17 "with the Highest Permission ... in favor of the poor families of persons held for debts"; that is, it was a charity concert,funds from which were transferred to the families of prisoners in the debt department of the prison.
