I’ll probably find the music for Egmont intended for me when I get home and thank you in advance - for I have already heard praise from many people about it and I think that this winter, when I stage the above-mentioned play in our theater, I will be able to arrange the performance of your music as accompaniment. Thus, I hope to bring great pleasure both to myself and to your many fans in our city. But most of all, I would like to fulfill the hope that Mr. von Oliva instilled in us, who said that during one of the upcoming trips you might visit Weimar.
