At the address: 92 Döblinger Hauptstrasse, there is the so-called “Eroika House” - the house where, according to legend, the future “Heroic Symphony” was created. The Eroika House has a small museum, which operates only upon advance requests from visitors. However, as it turned out relatively recently, this address was identified erroneously due to repeated renumbering of houses. The address of the “right” house is 15 Hofzeile, and there is no museum in it. The surrounding area has also changed a lot, although the old church of St. Johann of Nepomuk at the intersection of Hofzail and Döblinger Hauptstrasse remained the same as it was once. And, writing "Heroic Symphony", Beethoven, probably, could still hear the sound of her bells. As for the landscape park, which overlooks the courtyard of the Eroika House, it was defeated later, in 1830. But in the courtyard of the house a hugenoticeably decrepit linden, which is probably no less than three hundred years old. Even if Beethoven did not live in this house, he could see this noble tree when it was in the prime of its splendor.
