To a certain extent, I participated in the founding of the Pest-Buda School of Music, and therefore I would be very glad to be able to celebrate its quarter-century anniversary together. You, Mr. Baron, were kind enough to mention my “Legend of St. Elizabeth,” to which I have a special predilection. With my work, I sought to contribute to the glorification of the greatness and virtues of the saint, who was born in Hungary and died far from her homeland, in Thuringia. I will be happy if my composition is ever accepted in Hungary with approval.But for this, first of all, the German text should be translated into Hungarian.
