[4 (16) XII 1844, Petersburg - 20 I 1920, Moscow] - son and pupil of Johann A. Worked in St. Petersburg, from 1875 - in Moscow. He was one of the best Russian. guitar masters. The instruments of his work, which were distinguished by the strength and variety of sound, the beauty of the timbre, the elegance of finishes, were highly appreciated and awarded at all-Russian industrial exhibitions (in 1871, 1872, 1882).
