(class of conducting L. M. Ginzburg) of the conservatory. Since 1952 conductor, since 1953 ch. conductor Azerb. Theater of Opera and Ballet, where under his hands. productions of the operas Eugene Onegin (1953) were performed; “Sicilian Vespers” by Verdi (1954), “Azad” by Dzhangirov (1957), ballets “Seven Beauties” by Karaev (1952), “Gyulshen” by S. Hajibeyov (1958), etc. In 1960-61, Ch. conductor of Donetsk Rus. Opera and Ballet Theater, in which he conducted new productions of the operas Boris Godunov; “Betrothal in a monastery” by Prokofiev. In 1962-69 chap. conductor, since 1970 conductor Mosk. musesTheater named after Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko, where he participated in the first productions of the operas “Hari Janos” by Kodai (1963), “At the Cost of Life” by Nikolaev (1965), “The Rodless Son-in-law” by Khrennikov (1966), “Virinei” by Slonimsky (1967), “Carmen” (1969); Three Lives by Taktakishvili (1972); the ballet "Pictures from the Exhibition" to the music of Mussorgsky (1964) and others.
